I was feeling a little stuck creatively and needed a new adventure and some new stimuli. I know lots of people are dealing with a bit of ‘cabin fever’ not being able to travel, but it has really hit us creative/visual types hard. So I’m so excited to share with you that I literally discovered an old cabin in the middle of Houston to salve my cabin fever!
Built in 1932, the homestead of Edith L. Moore is a 17.5 acre wooded oasis in West Houston that is now a Nature Sanctuary (https://houstonaudubon.org/sanctuaries/edith-moore/). Situated along Rummel Creek with plenty of quiet, natural walking trails, it was the perfect setting to let my mind wander and my camera capture colors and textures from nature.
I hope these images inspire you as well and I highly recommend a walk in the woods!
